In addition to the events we host, UCR Staff Assembly is proud to support and co-sponsor a variety of events throughout the year. These include:

Chancellor's Staff & Faculty Welcome Picnic

Sponsored by the Office of the Chancellor and organized by the Office of Event Management and Protocol, the Chancellor's Staff & Faculty Welcome Picnic is held in the fall, usually a week or two before the start of the academic year. UCR Staff Assembly is proud to provide ice cream treats to attendees.

Highlander Day of Service

As part of the annual Highlander Day of Service, and in partnership with Physical Plant Grounds staff, staff members team up to do an extreme makeover of a campus garden or planting area. More information on this event will become available soon.

Thursday Nights Live

Staff Assembly is a proud supporter and sponsor of Thursday Nights Live at the HUB Plaza. Created in 2016, Thursday Nights Live is a "happy-hour" type event that combines music, great food and an engaging social environment and is open to staff, students and faculty. The event is organized by the Thursday Nights Live Committee, which includes the Office of the Provost, the HUB, and KUCR 88.3 FM.

UC Walks

UC Riverside's Wellness Program partners with Staff Assembly and other campus organizations to hold the annual UC Walks event. UC Walks is held at each UC campus, lab and hospital with the goal of  promoting wellness and physical fitness for students, staff and employees. Participants in the walk receive a UC Walks T-shirt, sunscreen, lip balm, and healthy refreshments.

This year's event will be held at a date to be determined in  Spring 2019 at the UCR Track.
