UCR Staff Assembly is an association of many employees dedicated to promoting the interests and welfare of all UCR staff. It seeks to inform, involve, connect and recognize staff in one of the fastest-growing campuses in the UC system.

Give to Staff Assembly

Every day, UC Riverside Staff members go above and beyond, making our university a thriving place. Your contribution directly supports essential Staff Assembly initiatives, including: Scholarships and professional development opportunities, recognition and outstanding awards to celebrate excellence and general meetings, Community Partner Fair, and all Staff Assembly programming.

Join Society '54

How it Works: The majority of Society '54 members contribute at least $4.50 per month via a convenient, automatic payroll deduction, totaling at least $54 annually. Of course, you are welcome to contribute more.

Give to the Staff Assembly Fund

How it Works: Make a one-time or recurring gift to the Staff Assembly fund directly. When donating through the university system, please ensure you designate your gift to the Staff Assembly.

Chancellor's faculty and staff picnic
Chancellor kicks off new academic year with picnic
UC Riverside celebrated the start of a new academic year with the Chancellor’s Faculty and Staff Picnic Tuesday, Sept. 10. For the second year, the picnic was held at the HUB Plaza. Some attendees dined at the outdoor patio while others gathered inside the HUB for shade and cooler temperatures during the heat. Chancellor Kim A. Wilcox welcomed employees in a short speech while also taking time to wander through the crowd chatting with people and taking selfies.

Community Partner Fair
Staff fair kicks off the fall
The Community Partner Fair returns to UC Riverside on Sept. 18, providing opportunities to learn about resources and services as the new academic year starts. The fair, sponsored by UCR Staff Assembly, will feature more than 40 vendors, activities, shaved ice, and prize drawings. It will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. under the arches in front of Tomás Rivera Library, where it has been held the past two years.

Outstanding staff recognized at awards ceremony
A dozen UC Riverside staff members were honored by UCR Staff Assembly as part of its annual Outstanding Staff Awards recognizing those who go above and beyond their duties. The awards were presented at a Monday, June 3 ceremony at the Barn Stable.

Build a bear event
Donuts, dogs, stuffed bears and more at staff celebration
UC Riverside Staff Assembly brought together staff members for events including crocheting, building stuffed bears, and a pet adoption fair as part of “Thank Goodness for Staff Week.” A series of in-person and virtual free events were held from Monday, April 22, to Friday, April 26. They included free coffee and donuts with crotchet outside Hinderaker Hall; a chance to build a stuffed Scotty bear on the lawn; and online informational sessions on cooking and stretching.
